Youths raze police station over killing of student by SARS

A police station in Osun State, was on Friday, set ablaze by irate youth after an official of the Police allegedly shot dead a young student in the area.

Some angry youths in the Iwo area of Osun State, have on Friday, set the police station ablaze in the town over the alleged shooting of an undergraduate student, Tunde Nofiu, by an officer attached to the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS).

Meanwhile, the student who was spending the holidays in the town and was going to Iwo from Olupona, was shot dead on Thursday night and the incident has led to a protest.

The name of the school of the deceased could not be ascertained as of the time of filing this report.
